A boy named Moon

Facebook is a funny place. When it started during my freshman year of college you had to have a college e-mail address to set up an account. That made me feel safe. It made me feel like maybe there wouldn't be so many creeps and fake people on there. Then they started letting anybody in. But over the years I haven't run across too many people trying to be my "friend" that seem weird to me. In fact, most of the people I've come across I actually know (or at least their name seems super familiar). So, the point is, facebook hasn't become full of weirdos since they started letting non-college e-mail address people in on the party. But here's the thing that gets me every time I get on facebook. There's this boy who was in my freshman ward who's name is Nate. We all called him Nate freshman year. I went to a party at Nate's house. But ever since he came back from his mission his name on facebook has been Moon. Weird. And I ran into him at the mall once and all throughout the 2.3 minutes of small chat all I could think of was "why Moon?"

Why didn't you ask him?

One does not ask about such things, Mother.

Well, you could always send him a Facebook message...or better yet ask him the question on his wall, so if he answers then all of your mutual friends will know the answer as well...or you could send him a message or write on his wall. "What's up? Have you checked out my blog lately? Here's the link..." Then maybe he'll get the hint.
