So Nathan (Bryan's younger brother) went into the MTC last Wednesday! Yay! (Well, I'm sad he won't be around for the next two years, but I'm happy that he's doing such a great thing with his life.) He's going to Poland, by the way.
Nathan and his mom.
It was fun dropping him off. You go in and the MTC president and his wife speak and then they show a little video and then the missionaries go out one door and their families go out another door and go home. The worst part, though, was when we were sitting in the big room waiting for the president and his wife to speak. On the big screen they were just showing every LDS commercial ever made and some of them are really sappy and so everybody's sitting there getting teary-eyed before anything even happened!
Nathan, Lisa, Bryan, and me.
So Nathan's in the MTC now. And since missionaries love mail (as far as I'm told- I've never been a missionary myself, but Bryan and every other missionary on the face of the earth says they love mail, so I believe it) I thought I would share with the rest of you a great way to send Nathan mail for free! If you go to Dear Elder.com just click on the option that lets you send mail to the MTC and you can type up a letter to Nathan and then you just click send and that's it! Dear Elder.com just prints the letter off and delivers it to the MTC for free! And if you write it in the morning (I think before 11am or something like that) it will be delivered to him the same day! Cool! That's almost cheap enough to go on Anna's money-saving blog! Also, I'm pretty sure you can send pouch letters for free, so this should work for Nathan's whole mission! Anyway, so hand-written letters are important too, of course, but I think this is a great option to use sometimes, especially when life gets busy. (P.S. I think everyone else has Nathan's MTC address, but Chris and Anna, if you don't have it let me know and I'll e-mail it to you.) Anyway, have fun writing to Starsky Lewis!
