Usually when I turn to Bryan in the evenings and say, "You know what would be fun to do?" he doesn't like the answer. No, he doesn't want to bake cookies or brownies or wash the dishes or change the big O's diaper or whatever other random chore or long activity with lots of clean up I have just thought of. But tonight I knew he was going to like what I had in mind.
"What?" he asked.
"Make a paper chain!"
"Oh. I thought you were going to say bake cookies or something and I didn't want to do that. But a paper chain does sound fun."
So we got to work. About an hour later, this is what we have hanging on our wall...

See the Nativity scene Bryan drew?
That's the one we'll take down Christmas Eve when we read the Christmas story.

Here's the chain link Bryan drew for Thanksgiving on Thursday.
Turkey bird to...

...turkey dinner!

I think these two are my favorites, both inspired by scraps left over from other ones. I really love the holly. And I didn't make the other one with this in mind, but I think it kind of turned out as some sort of geometric poinsettia. Cool.
Happy Holidays!The countdown begins tomorrow...

It is so cute!
WOOOHOOOO!!! I LOVE IT!
I'm excited to be there when you take some down.
It looks so cute! And the geometric poinsettia is my favorite.
Awesome! I like you you guys did all the decorations. I was thinking of making a paper chain for us for our big move...maybe I will. It would keep Katie busy a while coloring each one. I hadn't thought of that.
It looks like some of them say something. Did you write pre-Christmas thoughts on them?
Very Cute! I can see why Bryan would like that project. He gets to draw a little.
Bryan wrote "Merry Christmas" all over one of them and the Thanksgiving link has some writing on it, but other than that they're all just designs. I tried to get some close-ups, but our camera just gets blurry when you try to get close to anything. Bummer.
those are super cute
oh katie poo! you're so crafty! i love it!
so cute! maybe i'll make one too...hopefully before christmas rolls around!
