Strangely Weepy

Apparently it's pretty normal to get weepy during or right after pregnancy. As I remember it, I never really was, though I imagine Bryan would disagree and offer up a few examples. But I have discovered since I had the big O that I tend to get a little weepy over song and dance performances. I first struggled to fight back tears during the BYU devotional a month or so ago that showcased the dance groups on campus. But it doesn't stop with live performances. Back when Kendra showed me this video a week or so ago and then today when my brother put it up on his website I found myself struggling to fight back tears. Why? It's just a fun video, not a sad, weepy, emotional, pulling-at-your-heartstrings kind of video. Whatev. Pregnancy and the after effects make you weird. Or at least they've made me weird.

P.S. Amanda S., were you in Belgium joining in at 1:25 in that video? Because I'm pretty sure that's you. And it seems like something you would do.

No, I don't think it's pregnancy hormones. David told me he got weepy with that video, and so did I! I think it's the fun and enthusiasm, both of the dancers, and of Julie Andrews herself as she sings it.

Yes, yes... pregnancy does do weird things to you. I've experienced it too. :) But, do you know what... for some reason Flash mob dances seem to make me weepy too! Like when I happened to be watching Oprah one day and a MASSIVE flash mob started dancing to the Black Eyed Pees song while they performed. I practically balled. And as I'm fighting back the silly tears I'm racking myself over the coals with how funny I think I am because I'm crying over this silly SILLY thing. You're right... it doesn't have to be sad or pull at the heart strings. It's just cool. And for some reason cool things make you cry. I completely understand. :)
