A truly great idea ...and snow!

I cannot tell you the hours I have spent during my growing up years at home and now on visits trying tidying up the closet under the stairs at my house.* It is an awkward space with awkwardly shaped things like board games (Why will the makers of board games not get together and just decide on a standard size box already? Sheesh. I think they are in cahoots with shelving and storage companies. Little jerks.) and wrapping supplies. I've surrendered in the board game box battle for now, but I still haven't completely given up on trying to organize gift wrap. Every now and then I'll muddle through our box of gift wrap and try to organize it a little. I feel like the gift bags and tissue paper and ribbons are under control. But now we've got all this Christmas wrapping paper! Agh! But I found something great in my poking around on crafty blogs today.

Isn't that a great idea? I don't have any fishnets, but I am definitely going to be saving nylons and tights from now on.

In other news, it's snowing like crazy here. We went to bed Saturday night without a single flake and woke up to inches of it (I don't know how much, despite my searching online yesterday) yesterday morning. It stopped snowing for a while yesterday afternoon/ evening, but we woke up to more inches of it this morning. And it is still snowing. The big O and I will most definitely be staying inside today. Perhaps if I get really adventurous I'll walk down the half flight of stair's to Kendra's. Man, this is one of my top ten reasons I am so grateful that I don't have to work anymore. I don't have to scrape the ice off the car or drive in the snow and ice to be someplace I don't even want to be! Yay! Sorry for all you lollipops that still have to be places during the day. Hope you're all staying warm!

*This is not meant to reflect poorly on my mother's housekeeping. She is a very fine housekeeper. My organizing the closet was always just meant to be a nice little extra thing.

Wow, thanks for the disclaimer at the end! :)

Ummm...the way I always figured out "inches" of snow was to take a ruler or yardstick outside and stick it in the snow...

And when are you going to update the Big O's blog? Whine...

Mom,

You didn't even check the family blog before you left this comment. Obviously. So stop whining or I'll give you something to whine about!

Love,
Katie

Yes! Be grateful! I think it took me 10 minutes this morning just to un-bury my car! But thankfully I had a warm toasty coat on and I'm driving a car and not a horse and buggy! :) But tomorrow, drink some hot chocolate for me during the day! :)
