Happy Birthday to me! Presents for YOU! (giveaway!)

I'm turning 24 on Sunday, so I thought, 

"What better way to celebrate than with presents?"  

But this time the presents are for YOU!

Abby from Sew Much Ado and Holly from Cherry Lane Textiles have teamed up to bring you this awesome giveaway to celebrate my day of birth.  (Thanks ladies!)  I couldn't be more excited about it.  A couple of months ago I had the opportunity to be a pattern tester for Abby's Ruby Lou Doll.  Well, let me just tell you--this pattern is awesome.  It is clear, easy to follow, and fun to make.  Oh, and did I mention that it's E-A-S-Y!  Because it is.

I could tell just from reading the pattern that this dolly was going to turn out great, so I wanted to use some special fabric to make her extra cute.  So of course I used some of my favorite fabric from Cherry Lane Textiles.  Holly keeps her shop stocked full of cheery, bright, beautiful fabric.  Perfect for little Ruby.

Allow me to introduce her.

Ruby is always happy to greet us.

I love her sweet face.

And who can help but love her little shoes?

She's always well-behaved.

And she always laughs at our jokes.

She's a good thinker.

And she always does her toe-touch stretches in the morning.

She's very good about crossing her legs.

(Ahem.  Most of the time.)

And she always chews with her mouth closed.

And she keeps both sides of her skirt (it's reversible!) very tidy.

She always brushes her hair and ties a little ribbon on.  

And sometimes she goes the extra mile and puts it in braids.

She's a great listener,

Pretty fantastic at doing cartwheels,

And a decent partner for a wrestling match.

Oh, and she's happy to join you for lunch.

The big O is fun.  

But sometimes she'd like to have friends who are a bit more civilized.  

A bit more tidy, like herself.
