A happy little pouch

I have a problem.  A bobby pin problem.
They must have made bobby pin babies because my bobby pins no longer fit in this little plastic container.  Bleh.  And since they're a pain to put in there, I haven't been putting them in there.  They've been floating all over the top drawer in the bathroom.  No good.  Something needed to be done.

Using this wonderful tutorial from Noodlehead as a reference, I made this little mini pouch.  Just the right size for those multiplying bobby pins.

 Complete with a pretty lining.

And a fun red zipper.

I sewed it with some of my favorite fabric from Cherry Lane Textiles.  I thought about using ugly scraps since it's just a little pouch that will sit inside a drawer all the time, but I'm glad I used the pretty, fun scraps.  It makes me want to pull it out and look at it as often as I can.

Which means I've actually been putting away my bobby pins!  Yay!

And it's so much easier to just zip up the pouch and be done.  No more dealing with the frustrating little plastic container.  It's off living a second (and much more care-free) life as one of Olivia's toys.

Oh, and you all know how I feel about that little side tag.
I love it.

Will I be making more of these little pouches in the future?

Most definitely.

Happy Tuesday!
