 |Pumpkins from the pumpkin patch last fall.|

Today has been wonderful, perfect fall weather.  I am loving hanging out in a long-sleeved t-shirt and staying cozy at home.  Although the walk we went on this morning was also wonderful.  Cool, crisp air and no need for a jacket since we always warm up as we walk.

And cool weather outside makes it cozy inside.  And when it's cozy inside I'm all the more motivated to work on little projects.  I finished one this morning and started another one while Olivia was taking a nap.  Unfortunately, I can't find the camera.  Oops!  So pictures and details of the finished project are forthcoming... sometime.  Hopefully soon.  The other project I started is a trial run for the sewing class I'm going to teach this month.  It's going well so far as far as I can tell.  We'll see how it turns out.  If it works as well as I'm hoping then there may be an easy and versatile tutorial for you all in the near future.  Cross those fingers.

The other thing cozy weather makes me want to do?  Bake.  Now that summer's officially over here I'm ready for warm goodies.  Somebody mentioned cinnamon rolls a couple of days ago and I've been craving them ever since.  Warm, wonderful, fresh, homemade cinnamon rolls.  But since I've gotten back on track with my health/fitness/weight loss goals, I thought some whole wheat cinnamon rolls might be in order.  The only problem?  I've never actually made cinnamon rolls before.  (Eek!)  But there's a first time for everything, right?  So, today's the day.  I just started a batch of whole wheat cinnamon rolls.  The dough is rising, right along with my anticipation.  I really really hope they turn out to be as wonderful as I'm dreaming them up to be.  Maybe you could cross your fingers for that too.

Wishing you all a blustery, cozy Thursday.
