How NaBloPoMo is ruining my life

Me (many years ago) in a big flower pot on a rainy day much like today

I'm used to checking blogs everyday.  Multiple blogs multiple times a day.  And, let's face it, I waste spend a lot of time on it.  But it always seems justified when I weigh that time against the money we'd be spending on craft books and sewing patterns otherwise.  Also, I make way more stuff than I used to.  And that makes me happy.

But then NaBloPoMo comes along.  And people I like start writing on their blogs EVERY SINGLE DAY.

Now hang on a second.  Let me back up.  See, checking a ton of craft blogs every day is easy.  I scan for pictures, stop to read a few funny things or the tutorials I might actually use, and then scan for more pictures I like.  I don't read everything.  That would take forever.  So it's no wonder that a lot of the blogs I like happen to have great pictures.  Okay, now back to what I was saying...

These regular-everyday-awesome-related-to-me-people actually write on their blogs every day.  As in, write on them.  They're not just showing off pictures of cool stuff they made.  In fact, pictures are minimal.  They're offering up a post of fully-thought-out writing.  And it is usually funny.  Often hilarious.  And I usually want to leave some witty comment.  All of this takes quite a bit of time.  Especially considering how many people I like have blogs.  And not all of them are even back on the sidebar here anymore.  (You know, some people have kids they might not want every single person in the world seeing pictures of and stuff.)

Sigh.  What's a girl to do?  Just keep plugging through and wait for December (where I will then go through major withdrawals that they're not all writing funny things for me to read every day) I guess.

P.S. If you want to be miserable too, you can check the blog list in the right hand column on the bottom.  But don't say I didn't warn you.
