A little Warhol dress.
This dress came together really quickly and it was so easy.
I made this one using a tank top and plain white t-shirt that I got over the summer (for free!) at our neighborhood swap. But when Bryan got home and saw Olivia wearing it he said he was looking around for a price tag somewhere to see how much I had spent on it. He thought it was store bought! Which is always a nice compliment. :) (Especially from Bryan since he's so used to me making stuff all the time.) And it was doubly great to be able to tell him that I made it and that it was FREE! Hooray for using materials I already have on hand and didn't pay money for in the first place!
Since it was cold today Olivia wore her little dress with a long-sleeved onesie, some sweet little leggings, and this little flower clip that Bryan's cousin made for her.
I made this one using the 6-12 month size, but I made it longer since I wanted to include the little button placket, but still use the existing hem. It turned out to be the perfect length for a dress for her. I think since she's so petite I tend to forget how long she is.
I'm totally loving the simplicity of this fun little dress.
My favorite part? The sweet little tie. :)
And because of that awesome little tie at the neck, I honestly believe that at the rate she's growing it will still fit her next summer, so I think she'll get a lot of use out of it. But even more than I'm looking forward to Olivia (hopefully) still being able to wear this dress next summer...
I'm totally looking forward to dressing her up in it for Christmas. All I'll need to do is add a little clip like this one (that I made with my friend a while back) or some red leggings and she'll be set! Cute and comfy!
Well, I'm off to make another one!
