And you know what? It totally did cleanse my sewing-child-size-clothes palate. I finished them with a big happy sigh of relief that they turned out just as adorable and pint-sized as I'd hoped. And it was refreshing to know that they wouldn't have to fit Olivia.
But a funny thing happened.
They do fit Olivia.
Yes, that's right. These newborn size pants fit my little 14 month old. (Happy 14 month birthday today, Olivia!) Ha. I think she does it just to mess with me. Well, they are, of course, major high waters on her so I'll need to add a few inches in the future, but they fit her perfectly around the waist. Sheesh.

Oh how much better you will feel when the dishes are done and your little home is clean...just do it!!! :) Good luck!
Those are so cute! I hope the dishes didn't/don't take long to do.
The only thing cuter would be a photo of these darling britches ON Olivia!
How cute, Katie! Our little ones are rather skinny too. I think our eldest, even though he is almost six, still fits in a waist size for a two or three year old. I am sure your little girl looks adorable in those!
I love the little tag on the pants! They are cute all the way around. Great job!
So are you doing Nablopomo undercover style? Very sneaky. No one will know.
I think its funny/coincidental that your sewing machine is in your bedroom. Thats where I kept mine for a long, long time, but now I have a sewing room. and I MISS having it in my bedroom! I never had a mending pile because I mended as I dressed myself and family. Now I have a whole basket, piled to the sky with mending :/
