Unselfish Service (still working on it)

I know I shared this video last week, but I still need to hear its message.  While I don't feel like I'm a bad wife or a bad mother or a bad friend and neighbor, I do recognize that I still spend the majority of my time thinking about myself.  What do I want to do next?  What do I want to eat?  What will help me to feel happy and fulfilled?

Often times--perhaps too often--the most important things in my life, my family, get second priority at what's on my mind.  I'm trying to focus more on doing less.  I'm trying to focus more on the wants and needs of others.  It'll take me a long time to really get there.  But that's what we're here for.

One of the problems with writing memoir for my thesis is...it's about ME! I appreciate the way you have articulated one of my ongoing challenges -- remembering to focus on others first.

I'm with you on this! Thanks for sharing the video, too! We all need to be reminded! Have a great day...and don't be down on yourself too much...you're right - this is why we're here! And I'm so glad I get the opportunity to learn this stuff now! :)
