Are you participating in the Kids Clothes Week Challenge going on over at Elsie Marley?
If you haven't heard of it, it's a week-long sew along where you commit to spending one hour each day (during this week) to work on sewing clothing for kids. It can be for your own kid(s) or maybe to give to some kids you know who might like some cool new digs. Or it could even be for kids you don't know who are in need!
After hearing about it for the past year or so, I've finally buckled down and committed myself to participate!
And I'm honored to be a Sponsor of Elsie Marley this month during the KCWC! So if you're in need of some handmade buttons or vintage zippers for the clothes you're working on, stop by THE SHOP!
Anyway, yesterday was the first day. I started off slow and easy with a couple new things for Olivia's bottom half.
First up, these sweet, easy PJ pants made from an old sheet and the (free) Newborn Baby Pants Pattern from Made By Rae.
You can learn how to lengthen the pants to fit older/taller kids HERE.
(I made the shirt a while ago using Dana's wonderful 90 Min Shirt tutorial.)
Item number two?
Some fun purple panties!
I had forgotten until I wrote "purple panties" just now, but we actually used to joke about purple panties a lot in my house growing up. (Don't ask why.) Hopefully Olivia won't get too embarrassed about wearing these.
Well, there's what I made yesterday for Day 1! Anyone else out there participating?
