I miss blogging
I know what you're thinking. You are blogging. But I mean I miss real, regular blogging with pictures. I miss sharing tutorials with you guys. I miss that kind of blogging.
There are several reasons I haven't been doing it lately. But one of the main reasons is that our whole computer situation has been a bit of an issue for the past several months. For our entire marriage of about 3 1/2 years we've been using (as our only computer at home) the laptop that my parents gave me (thank you!) back in December of 2005. Yikes.
Regardless of the 5 1/2 years of old age, my little laptop has been plugging away pretty well. We've had computer-savvy friends do some voodoo magic on it a couple times to help it continue running at a somewhat palatable speed. But the hard truth is, it's getting ridiculous. The time it takes to load a new page or a new program is starting to remind me of the old days when we all had dial up internet (insert dial up sound here) and it took a while for every page to load. (Remember that deep regret you felt every time you accidentally clicked on the wrong link?) So I don't need to tell you that when we were informed by some of my favorite people that they'd be giving us a brand new computer as Bryan's graduation gift, we were ecstatic. Elated.
But it made good sense to wait to order the new computer until after we moved and got settled into our new place. So, now I am most happy to report that the nice, shiny, new computer is on it's way! I've been sitting around daydreaming of its arrival ever since. I'll be able to download pictures and keep them on the computer! I'll be able to post on my blog in half the time! I'll be able to finally sit down and actually post a full tutorial! And perhaps one of the things I'm most excited about is that I'll finally be able to download the Photoshop software that I bought months ago and start putting it to good use! I've had Photoshop projects bumping around in my mind for months.
I don't know exactly when the computer will arrive, but I wouldn't mind if the delivery man knocked on the door--oh--right about now. :)
