YES! I feel the same way. My poor little power shot that grinds as the lens opens when turned on because there is sand embedded somewhere in the system just isn't the same as the wonderful cameras those OTHER ladies have.
Maybe you can just punch my shoulder since my camera is pretty nice, but not a professional one? Love you...someday will come.
Haha! I love it! So true for me since I have been longing for a nice camera for so long!
I'll be honest. I have a Canon Rebel and a Panasonic Lumix and at the end of the day it's the skills more than it is the camera. Also, I often like what I get off my Lumix a lot better than my Canon! Go figure!? :)And, sometimes that larger camera isn't convenient and a good p&s is way easier for some occasions. All that to say you will get your dream one day but in the meantime keep learning composition and all those other things that make a great picture so that when your new "baby" is in your hands you'll be taking good shots from the start! :)
I agree with Laura! It is definitely a skills thing. I recently got a Nikon D3100 and I have no photography skills. I can get an Oops really good picture, because it is a nice camera...but mainly the shots look similar to the ones I took with my Nikon p&s! All because I don't have the skills yet! LOL!
