Lala Fashion: Red

Yesterday I shared some pictures of Olivia's first day of preschool.
And I mentioned my recent obsession with a certain pair of red shoes.
Truth be told, she has at least three pairs of red shoes in her closet right now.
But these ones are my faves.
By far.

So today I thought I'd share another bit of Lala fashion.

Hair: crazy
Shirt: from her Auntie Kendra
Pants: jeans from The Childrens Place... via the thrift store
Shoes: red

This kid has some crazy wild half bounce/half frizz curls.
This is what it looks like when we do nothing.

(Uhh... and this is what it looks like when the little gangsta's pants are starting to fall down.  She is turning out to be a longish and super-skinny girl.)

This poor kid spends half her time trying to brush those crazy curls out of her eyes.

It's kind of a problem.

And so comes addition of the pigtails and clippie.

Clippie: "vintage" red bow plastic hair clip from my childhood
Hair ties: cheapo plastic red ones from the dollar store

Ahh.  Much better.

Once she's all ready to go, we grab some donuts from our favorite local spot and head off on a walk.

Everything's better when it's got a little red sprinkled in, right?

We think so.

Love her red shoes! I understand the gansta pant look. My boys are super skinny too! Here is a little trick I used to help make their pants fit. I call it the "Faux Adjustable Waist Pants" trick. http://mengalings.blogspot.com/2011/02/how-to-make-pants-fit-your-skinny-kid.html
