Olivia turned 2 yesterday.
We had a fun and low-key day, topped off by a fun and low-key party in the park with friends. We ate cupcakes, played with the parachute, opened a few presents, and played on the playground for a good long while. It was a little muggy out, but I think everybody had a lot of fun, especially Olivia.
I can hardly believe how big she is already. All of a sudden she seems to have blown completely past the Baby phase and exploded right into Little Kid phase. When did that happen? She's speaking in complete sentences, learning letter sounds, starting to potty train, and becoming more capable of so many things every single day.
We sure love you sweet, sweet girl. Happy birthday!
|I took this picture this morning. Luckily it wasn't raining last night during her party!|
This is the extent to which we decorated for her birthday here at home. One party banner hung up over the front curtains. And I didn't even make it--just picked it up at the thrift store for 50 cents. But she loved it. She came downstairs in the morning and saw it and started babbling about Lala's Happy Birthday and her Party and Cupcakes. You know, all the really important things about a two year-old birthday. :)
All in all, it was a nice, quiet, fun, happy, happy birthday day.
