These two. First and foremost, they crack me up. Don't let their sincerity fool you. Whitney and Spencer are funny, funny people. Whitney and I have seldom made it through a conversation without giggles. And Spencer, growing up with lots of sisters, is keen to share wise advice like, "Don't shave your legs right before you go to the dentist. It's all cold at the dentist's office and your legs will get all prickly." It's not that he shaves his legs. It's just that he's funny. And so is Whitney. She does an old man dance that can beat anybody's I've yet seen.
Anyway, I love these two to pieces. If I could have them as next door neighbors for the rest of my life I'd be a happy girl. But we actually live on opposite ends of the country now. It doesn't stop me from thinking about them. But it does make it hard to stop by and let them know how often I'm thinking of them and how much I wish I could help. The truth is, there really isn't a lot I can do to help them on their journey to adopt. It's in Heavenly Father's hands. But that's not to say we can't help it along a little. :)
Kari at UCreate shared a wonderful post about Spencer and Whitney today. I hope you'll read it. And watch their sweet video. It was the first time I had seen that video and it got me all teary-eyed.
These two. I love them so, so much.
