October 2011 Brown Bag: The Food

Each Brown Bag guest was invited to bring a plate of snacks or desserts to share.

Votes were cast for the best.
Prizes were awarded to the 1st and 2nd place winners in each category (snacks and desserts).
And one prize was given to the plate of snacks or desserts that I felt best fit the theme.

As you can see, there were a lot of yummy things to choose from.

Karianne and baby check out some of the delicious snacks.
1st place Snack was awarded to Lacey who brought those yummy pumpkin rolls.

2nd place Snack was awarded to the person who brought the fancy rolls on a stick.
I'm sorry, my brain is failing me and I can't remember who that was!  If you know, please remind me!

I awarded the "Best Fits Theme" prize to the fun plate of bow-shaped veggies and dip made by Allison.

Obviously there were other great choices in this category, but, in the end, the veggies won me over.

These candy corn rice crispy treats made by Noelle were delicious.

Toothpick Flag tutorial.

Those super yummy mini cheesecakes made by my friend Alice were voted 1st place in the Dessert category.
They were sooooo yummy.
Each one had a whole Oreo cookie on the bottom.
And the cheesecake was Oreo cheesecake.
Yumm...
Makes me crave them just thinking about it.

2nd place Dessert was awarded to the yummy chocolate chip bread on the platter just below the mini cheesecakes.
(And I also can't remember who made this!  Sorry!  Tell me if you remember!)

I may or may not have planned this whole event just so I could con my friends into bringing over really good food for me to eat.

And it worked!
Bwahahahaha!

Every single one of the treats was amazing and delicious.
And I didn't make a single one!

Thanks so much to everyone who came and brought amazing-tasting things for me to eat to share!

Anybody have suggestions for yummy party snack and dessert recipes to try?

You're making me wish I lived in Ohio so I could come to one of your little parties. :)
