My Business Cards

What!  What!

My funky little handmade business cards are being featured on The Farm Chicks today!  Serena--head honcho of all things Farm Chicks--is bursting with classic style and I'm really honored to be included among the business cards being featured there.

You'll also get a sneak peek there of my full business card/branding selection including my business cards, hang tags, sample button cards, and thank you card.

So head on over to The Farm Chicks to browse through a fine collection of business cards from lots of fun businesses!

Be sure to take a quick minute to vote for your favorites while you're there!  :)

Details on my business cards after the jump!

I'll post some more in-depth info on my new line of business cards, sample cards, hang tags, etc. a little later, but here's a quick run-down on the business card shown above:

All in all, these cards are quick and easy to make and environmentally friendly!

Also, for those of you who have made it this far, I have two questions:

  1. I've been thinking about adding my e-mail address to the business cards with my name on them (i.e. the one shown above), but it just feels redundant since my contact info is available here on my home page.  Also I feel like it might make the card too busy.  What do you think?  Should I add my e-mail address or just leave it the way it is?
  2. How do you use business cards for online businesses?  Do you toss them?  Hang them in your studio if they're pretty?  File them somewhere for future reference?  I'm just curious.

I'd love to hear your answers in the comments.  Thanks!

And thanks Serena for the feature and for collecting such a fun assortments of business cards to browse through!

Your business cards are super cute! I love that they are recycled from something as simple as a cereal box! When I get a business card from an on-line shop that I plan to use again, I keep the card. Yours being so cute is a bonus!!

It is super adorable and I love the cereal box aspect of it! I don't love my business cards, but I use them as hang tags on my sold handmade items, usually I glue them to a medium size brown craft tag and add a jute tie, a printed care instruction label on the back. For supplies that I sell I tape or glue it on the packaging. I like to have a web address on the tag, makes it quick and easy to find someone. I have home city and phone number on mine too, but that is because of the nature of my business, I don't mind receiving phone calls from customers and my number is posted on my website anyway. You have inspired me to think about coming up with something much cuter and craftier!

I think having your email address on the cards is a good idea. I would say add two cards to each order when you send it out. On the second one say it is a referral card and leave a spot for the person who ordered to put their name on it.

If on order includes that they got the referral card, and includes the name of the person who gave it to them (in the comments section) they get something free that doesn't cost you too much for the new customer and the one who referred them gets the same thing on their next order.
